There are many different gas airsoft guns out there on the market, one of the dominant types are the gas airsoft guns. Now in this realm there are two main types, the Co2 airsoft guns and the Green gas guns. This particular article refers to the green gas airsoft guns. Many people complain that it is too expensive, however there is an alternative, propane. It is extremely cheap and all you have to do is add a little silicon oil and you are good to go. ...One more thing that I would like to mention on the subject of airsoft ammunition. And that is airsoft paintballs. Yes there are paintballs designed for your airsoft gun, they are 6mm in size and vary in color. This is good for paintball players who also own airsoft guns, thus they can use there airsoft gun as a side arm even at the paintball field. It is however important to note that there have been many reports of these paintballs breaking airsoft guns, which is of course not good. So even though they are pretty awesome, duugle says stay away. Better safe then sorry. Since there was a review posted for the regular bb's i felt it necessary to also mention the Biodegradable BB's. They are the same as regular ones except they are not bad for the environment, as in they will degrade and become soil. This is wonderful for all of those out doors airsoft players. This is a very touch subject because it depends on personal preference, the smaller the BB the more FPS but the less accuracy. If you go with larger BB's then you sacrifice speed but gain tremendous accuracy and the wind does not effect your shot as much. Of course it is important to read about your airsoft gun and see which size is recommend for your particular model. It is important to note though that the .12g BB's have been know to be hazardous to airsoft guns due to there likelihood to crack and jam the gun often damaging it. Personally i always use .20g BB's because they give me the accuracy i need and want and they also put my airsoft guns at less risk to damages. For the most part guns that are well made and are not cheap often require you to use the .20g BB's, so with that said, duugle claims the .20g BB's to be the best size ammo to use for your airsoft guns regardless.

These are all options on what can be used for gas airsoft guns, Co2 can be bought online and in stores like sport authority, green gas is mostly available online and if you are lucky there is a local paintball store which carries it.
Another very popular option is buying a mini propane tank for around $3 and then buying some silicon oil and mixing it yourself by placing some silicon oil into the nozzle adapter, then charging the mag. this is by far the most cost efficient method.

The propane can be picked up at almost any store like Home Depot or Wal-Mart, CVS, and K-mart

Just a few tips on how to extend the life airsoft gun, regardless if it is spring, electric, green gas or Co2, basic maintenance is essential.

-Learn how to properly disassemble your firearm.
-Proceed in disassemble it and have high grade oil, tissue, and tools close by.
- wipe down the parts and movements.
- next begin lubricating the mechanisms.
-NOTE: be sure not to get to crazy with the lube....wipe access away with tissues.
-reassemble gun.
-test and make sure it works properly.
